Twelve Years Later...

september11 Commencement of hostilities

... we are still at war with the Muslim world, and it most certainly is still at war with us.

... we have lost the strategic advantage of having large concentrations of forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, surrounding Iran, and the mullahs are well on their way to acquiring nuclear weapons in order to hasten the coming of the Twelfth Imam.

... in addition to the 3,000 souls lost in 2001, more than 5,000 soldiers have perished in the "War on Terror," and for absolutely no strategic purpose or effect.

... we lost four diplomats and security personnel in Benghazi, Libya, exactly one year ago today, and still the government not only continues to lie about what happened but also refuses to let the truth come out. Or, maybe, somehow it will.

... our best fighting generals have been sacked, on one pretense or another, since the start of combat operations in the Af-Pak theater.

... we have active hostiles serving openly in our Armed Forces.

... political correctness has spread to all corners of the Armed Services, including the Marine Corps, and is directly responsible for the Bradley Manning and Major Hasan fiascos; there will be more to come.

US President Barack Obama gestures for t Don't ask, don't tell

... we have a president with an Islamic background whose middle name is "Hussein," and  whose affinity for Islam is unmistakable.

... we've witnessed state constitutional amendments to ban sharia "law" in the American judicial system being overturned by federal judges.

... we have a national security state that spies on us, reads our emails, taps our telephone calls, invades our computers, and data-mines our activities for "suspicious" behavior, in the name of "protecting" us.

... we no longer have a functioning Fourth Amendment.

... with great effort, we have beaten back attacks on the Second Amendment at the federal level, but still some of the blue states persist in trying to infringe upon an incorporated right. Colorado just got an object lesson in what happens when legislators overstep their authority.

... we have something called the Transportation Security Administration that treats every single traveling American citizen as a potential terrorist -- although there is apparently some amelioration coming this fall.

... we have increasingly militarized local police forces, who now routinely deploy weapons of war against the citizenry, and whose existence was forecast by President Obama himself:

...politically, we've seen the rise and enshrinement of the Permanent Bipartisan Fusion Party, a hereditary caste of politicians from both "sides" of the aisle who are in complete agreement on the objectives of electoral office (personal enrichment and the arbitrary exercise of power) and disagree only around the margins. Bush, Clinton -- what difference, at this point, does it make?

... with Obamacare on the verge of implementation -- something everyone agrees will be an utter disaster -- a strangely impotent GOP shows absolutely no inclination to stop it. Because, in fact, they don't want to.

... unaccountable agencies, such as the EPA, effectively make law via "regulations" designed to throttle private enterprise; in the words of the Declaration of Independence, the federal government "has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance."

... we've become of nation of lawyers, not men. So much so that --

... the people of California were told by the chief justice of the Supreme Court that they had no legal standing to defend an amendment they proposed and made part of their own state constitution.

Why is this man smiling? Why is this man smiling?

Now ask yourself: who's winning the war on America that began twelve years ago today?
