To the Enchantments

I’m heading out on a deathmarch of a backpacking trip into the Enchantment Lakes Basin in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness a few hours north of my house. I will be nowhere near a wi-fi hotspot or a cell phone tower until Tuesday night so if you try to contact me, or if you post a comment that goes into the moderation queue, don’t expect a response until Wednesday.

The reason I’m willing to put up with a long grueling hike into the Enchantments (also sometimes called the Lost World Plateau) with 50 pounds of gear on my back is because I’ll be rewarded with views of some of the most spectacular scenery on the face of the earth.
