Behold the “Reformer” of Syria

The Middle East is governed the same way it has been governed since humans stopped hunting and gathering and established cities east of the Mediterranean—by violence.

Syria’s tyrant Bashar al-Assad is expelling any journalists who managed to finagle a visa, and he won’t let anyone else take their place, so we have to rely on YouTube videos to see what’s going on in that dark and tortured country.

The video below is violent and horrifying, and if you don’t have a stomach of iron you had better not watch it. Those who still labor under the delusion that al-Assad is a reformer, however, or that we can do business with him, need to watch it no matter what their stomach is made of.
