Tsunami Warning

If you live on the West Coast of the U.S. you almost certainly know by now that tsunami waves may be coming in all day, not just as scheduled at 6am, but I’m posting this anyway just in case. If you’re near the beach, move now. And if you’re not near the beach, don’t go there. Tsunami sirens—which sound like air raid sirens—are blaring all along the Oregon Coast this morning.

Whatever hits North America won’t be anything like what slammed into Japan yesterday after an 8.9 earthquake in the Pacific. CNN’s live video of the wave coming in last night was the most extraordinaly and horrifying tsunami footage I’ve ever seen.
