Actress and “comedian” — a term that should be applied very loosely — Rosie O’Donnell, who fled the United States to escape from President Donald Trump after he won the 2024 presidential election, recently shared her 12-year-old child’s rather strong, slightly disturbing reaction to moving to Ireland. Nothing says “Mother of the Year” like brainwashing your child to become a brain-dead liberal incapable of independent thought.
O’Donnell sat down for a chat with former CNN blowhard Jim Acosta. The League of Their Own actress previously blamed her departure on wanting to provide a positive environment for her 12-year-old son, Clay, who is autistic and previously identified as nonbinary. Why am I not surprised a child raised by a radical leftist lesbian would suffer from gender confusion?
During the interview, O’Donnell said, “My daughter is now saying, ‘Dmn him, dmn Trump,’ and smashing her hand on the table,” referring to her biologically male son as a girl. As the parent of an autistic child, these kids already face an incredibly steep uphill battle doing many things neurotypical people take for granted every day. Encouraging the delusions of a child suffering from gender dysphoria on top of that is cruelty to the maximum.
“And I said, ‘Wow, honey, what are you thinking?’ And she said, ‘He made us move in order for our own safety! And now he’s destroying the country!’” O’Donnell continued. “She lives here, she hears what I’m saying to you. I don’t go around speaking like this every day when it isn’t an interview. But I think to myself, ‘You don’t want to give this to her.’”
I find it hard to believe that Rosie doesn’t stomp through the house on a daily basis shaking her fist at the sky and condemning President Trump to eternal torment. That seems exactly like the kind of thing a radical like her would do since Trump lives rent-free in her head.
“Whatever this thing is, of me thinking that I somehow have to stand in defiance of [Trump],” she told Acosta. “I don’t. Somebody can tap me out. I did 22 years, I don’t really need to do anymore.”
O’Donnell then revealed she discussed the big move to Ireland with her son — yes, he’s her son, not daughter — and told him they’d come back to the U.S. “when it’s safe.” What exactly is O’Donnell protecting Clay from? Having his genitals snipped before he’s actually developed a healthy, fully functioning brain? Adults are free to live their lives as they choose in America. We just don’t let a mere child decide they want irreversible, life-altering surgeries they’ll most likely regret later in life. In the left’s eyes, this is evil. That’s how far down the rabbit hole our society has fallen.
The Flintstones actress gushed about how “proud and impressed” she feels about her son’s adjustments to the move, saying, “It’s not easy to move to another country, and we really felt as a family this was the safest and best thing for us to do.”
“It looks like sadly we were correct because what’s happening in the United States overwhelms us with depression — unconstitutional, illegal, criminal, and so, so very sad,” she concluded. “Let’s hope the world and the nation rally against the current administration and their horrific ideas for what will make America great again. And it’s not racism. And it’s not homophobia. And it’s equality for all. That’s what we’re promised as American citizens.”
This reflects a symptom of a much bigger, more dangerous problem.
What Rosie’s done to her child — shaping and molding a very impressionable young mind to hate anyone with a difference of opinion — acts like the cancer eating away at the “united” part of the United States. Never before has our country stood so divided along political lines. Once upon a time, we formed a nation made up of people from all walks of life who still, to some degree, shared a common culture. A love of freedom. A belief in the foundational principles of our nation, as our Founding Fathers verbalized in the Constitution.
We agreed on the essentials, even when we disagreed about specific issues or how those essentials applied to everyday life. Ever since the left invaded the institutions of our country — schools, churches, and entertainment to name a few — they’ve infected each succeeding generation with the liberal mind virus, a sickness that festers into hatred for their own nation, their own people, and anyone who dares to see life differently from the dogma of progressivism.
And progressives intended this plan from the very beginning. They built their strategy around the ultimate end game: destroy America and replace it with the pipe dream of a utopian society devoid of individuality, which they believe creates inequality.
Oh, celebrities like O’Donnell talk a big game about allowing people to live life as they choose, but when the rubber meets the road, they demand everyone adhere to their dogma. Any room for disagreement threatens to create “inequality,” and liberals treat that as their boogeyman.
Sadly, children like Clay will pay the heaviest price for this shift toward division and insanity. Years of confusion about their identity — with no room to think for themselves or change their minds — lock them in a prison their parents’ ideals created. Depression and anxiety run amok among young people these days for this very reason. They have no solid rock, no universal truths or principles to stand on, because progressivism constantly shifts. Liberals keep creating generations of lost souls while simultaneously trying to extinguish the light that could guide those souls toward the liberation of their hearts.
It’s a truly tragic sight to behold.
