Democratic strategist James Carville has earned a well-deserved reputation for spewing garbage, but his recent gloating over Democrat election victories is pretty sick and twisted — even for him. On Wednesday, after liberal candidates cleaned house in already deep-blue states, Carville bragged that he could get a "convicted pedophile" to run against Republicans and win. Such a classy, morally upright guy, that Carville.
Carville, the same man who cooked up former President Bill Clinton's famous "It's the economy, stupid" catchphrase, made the extremely offensive wisecrack during an episode of his Politics War Room podcast following Tuesday’s elections. He referenced Virginia Attorney-elect Jay Jones, who pulled off a victory despite once texting a colleague that he wished violence on his political opponents and their families.
If you think such comments only come from the fringes of the left, the reactions from Democrats after conservative icon Charlie Kirk's assassination should convince you otherwise. Clearly, wanting conservatives to bite the dust for their political views has become a fairly mainstream sentiment for liberals.
🚨NEW: James Carville jokes about running "CONVICTED PEDOPHILE" after Dems elect Jay Jones🚨

"I'm personally gonna find a convicted pedophile and run him in a race just to see if he could beat a Republican."@DailyCaller pic.twitter.com/TezDWiiz7h
Giggling like a hyena on nitrous oxide, Carville spelled out how he'd take a convicted pedophile all the way to victory over Republicans, saying, “I’m personally going to find a convicted pedophile and run him in a race just to see if he could beat a Republican. I’m not sure. I’m not going to say that a convicted pedophile could win.”
“And by the way, the guy that was running against [Jones] ran a pretty good campaign,” Carville added, referring to incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares (R-VA). “He ran ads … if you think … the most interesting thing, drum roll, I’m going to give y’all the most interesting piece of news of the cycle, even more interesting than Bucks County. The Republican legislator who released the texts lost. And Jay won.”
Carville, continuing his unsettling cackling, then said, “I mean it’s just — just a little tidbit. Hey, you got some baggage out there with Trump, people. Just know that.”
This is the same guy who recently drew attention after saying President Donald Trump's "collaborators" should be treated the same way Nazis in post-war Europe were treated — marched down the street in orange jumpsuits with their heads shaved so people could spit on them.
Again, if you think wishing violence and harsh treatment on conservatives isn't part of mainstream liberalism, you're not paying attention. The left hates you. Left-wing media hate you. If you hold conservative values and principles, if you share the beliefs of the people who sacrificed their blood, sweat, tears, and fortunes to establish this nation, in their eyes, you ought to be in a six-foot hole.
That's how deep the political divide is in modern America. And with continued rhetoric like Carville's spilling all over the media, podcasts, and social media, I don't know if there's any way to close the gap between liberals and conservatives. One thing's for sure. If people with platforms on the left do not start condemning, vehemently, the kind of sick and twisted comments coming from so many of their "colleagues," there's going to be little in the way of hope of this nation truly being the "United" States ever again.
During an episode of the late Charlie Kirk's podcast hosted by Vice President JD Vance, it was pointed out that "left-wing extremism" is what ultimately led to the Turning Point USA founder's murder.
"Of course, we have to make sure that the killer is brought to justice," Vance stated during the show. "And importantly, we have to talk about this incredibly destructive movement of left-wing extremism that has grown up over the last few years and, I believe, is part of the reason why Charlie was killed by an assassin's bullet."
If the radical left is willing to do that to the nice guy, just imagine what they want to do to people like independent conservative journalist Tucker Carlson? Kirk is noted for being much more of a moderate than most conservative public figures. The sick and twisted hostility that keeps getting pushed by the ever-emboldened progressives in America hasn't been checked in the weeks since Kirk's assassination, a point proven by Carville's comments.
God is the only solution to the darkness our nation is shrouded in. If you are the praying type — and you should be — pray for the people of this country to wake up to reality and once again find common ground. This is going to take a miracle.
