Roger Stone Jr. worked for Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan. More recently, he was one of Donald Trump’s most important advisers and believed — years ago — that the billionaire had what it takes to become president.
It was a major development for the man known as “the dark prince of American politics”: finally, at long last, there was another national player who wanted to work with him.
Although he was officially let go by Trump before election day in 2016, Stone continued to support him in public. He was especially aggressive when it came to accusations that Trump or his campaign had colluded with Russia.
Well, the news that the special investigator will indict his first target(s?) on Monday clearly made Stone lose his cool. He took to Twitter where he started cursing at and even threatening CNN anchors.
In other tweets, Stone wrote:
.@jaketapper must be held accountable for his lies and very severely punished #Fakenewsasswipe
.@donlemon you come across on tv as a dull witted arrogant partyboi. You lie constantly and no one who knows you thinks you r bright
.@donlemon there r no credible “fact-checks” that clear the Clinton’s on Uranium. Even the people at CNN say u are a buffoon behind you back
No .@CharlesBlow YOU Lie- u have no cried you fast talking arrogant fake news piece of shit !
Those tweets can no longer be found on Twitter because the social network suspended his account:

“We believe in freedom of expression and in speaking truth to power, but that means little as an underlying philosophy if voices are silenced because people are afraid to speak up,” a Twitter spokesperson said in an official statement to the media. “In order to ensure that people feel safe expressing diverse opinions and beliefs, we do not tolerate behavior that crosses the line into abuse, including behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence another user’s voice.”
Although it would seem that Stone clearly broke Twitter’s rules, many conservative Twitter users accuse the social network of having a double standard:
He was speaking the truth. Don Lemon is an insufferable idiot!
