Joe Biden sat on the Epstein files for four years. Democrats didn’t give a hoot about them not being released. Then, they turned around and spent the last year hammering Trump for supposedly delaying the release. The goal was clear. They wanted everyone to think he was hiding something to protect himself. No evidence ever backed that up. Make no mistake about it, Trump deserves the credit here.
He is the one who campaigned on releasing the files. He is the one who signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law. The whole mess has finally come to an end now that the Justice Department dropped the final batch of over 3 million pages on Friday.
Even Politico had to admit the truth. “Trump, like Clinton, has not been implicated of wrongdoing, and the president has said he had a falling out with Epstein years ago,” Politico conceded, acknowledging what Trump has been saying a long.
Despite claiming to have been all about transparency, Democrats were less than thrilled about the Friday dump. Never mind that Trump came through on his promise to release the files; they have to spin the release as some sort of scheme to protect Trump.

"To be sure, Democrats were, in fact, not laudatory of the Friday release. Many of them have believed from the start the administration resisted releasing the Epstein files for months in an effort to shield Trump — who had a longstanding relationship with Epstein for many years — from scrutiny."
For Politico to admit that the Trump-Epstein connection Democrats so wanted to be true was a nothingburger is no small thing either.
To get a sense of what a sad letdown this must be for Team Politico, one has to keep in mind that last summer, they were in the midst of an Epstein-files frenzy to the extent that we noted last July: "Politico Goes Full Frenzy with SIX Epstein Stories in 24 Hour Period."
Their desperation to take down Trump became so absurd they even covered a South Park cartoon on this subject, "South Park skewers Trump over Epstein files, depicts him in bed with Satan."
Even with stories that had absolutely nothing to do with Epstein, Politico stretched to invoke him with such laughable stories as "Deflecting Epstein questions, Trump urges DOJ to 'go after' Obama."
Politico wasn’t alone. The media went all in trying to link Trump to Epstein’s crimes while they ignored Epstein’s connections to Bill Clinton and other high-profile Democrats. But, sadly, Democrats are still trying to get as much mileage as they can out of this because they have nothing else to offer.
It’s time for the left to face it: the Trump-Epstein hoax is over. Done. Finished. Buried. The files are out there now. Trump delivered what Biden wouldn't. Justice rolls on. The left's fantasy remains a fantasy… one that will never come true. It’s time to move on to the real issues.
