The Democratic Party Never Left the Slave Plantation

Democrats love to pretend that their support for illegal immigration is all about “compassion” and “humanitarian values.” Of course, we know better. The real motive — one they won’t say out loud — is to flood the country with future Democrat voters and lock in permanent political control. But now they’re starting to let slip another motive, and it’s just as sinister.

“Immigration enforcement operations on farms have left crops rotting and farm operations disrupted in major agricultural states including California, Texas, and Pennsylvania,” Newsweek reported last month.

"We do not have enough workforce in the United States to do manual work, to do those jobs that other people are not qualified to do and do not want to do it," Alexandra Sossa, CEO of Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project, told the outlet. "For example, we are running into a problem where we do not have enough farm workers to grow the food we eat every day.

They might pretend to be champions of the oppressed, but scratch the surface and there’s something downright grotesque about their plantation-politics mindset. According to them, we need illegal immigrants to do farm work.

Just look at how Democrats responded to the recent ICE raid in California. Federal agents executed a lawful criminal warrant at a cannabis farm in Ventura County, shutting down what appeared to be a corrupt, illegal operation. But instead of praising law enforcement, Gavin Newsom jumped on social media and played the part of a modern-day plantation boss, only now it’s marijuana fields instead of cotton. “Kids running from tear gas, crying on the phone because their mother was just taken from the fields,” Newsom sobbed, painting ICE as the villains — as if they’d crashed a church picnic instead of exposing yet another example of blue-state lawlessness.

But here’s what the media and the Democrat spin machine conveniently left out: This wasn’t about “families” or “hard-working immigrants.” This was a marijuana farm using illegal labor, including trafficked children. Eight unaccompanied minors in the fields in 2025 America, while Democrats were too busy grandstanding about the loss of their cheap labor to care.

Instead of thanking federal agents for rescuing abused minors and shutting down a criminal operation, Democrats attack them. They ignore violence against law enforcement, cry about “family separation,” and pretend that the real tragedy is that illegal workers can’t keep picking crops. Their priorities couldn’t be clearer: protect the system of exploitation, rake in campaign cash, and keep the labor cheap and compliant.

Democrats were forced to give up their slaves after the Civil War, but they never gave up the mentality. The plantation may look different today — they’ve traded whips for hashtags — but the purpose is the same: control, dependence, and profit. Illegal immigration isn’t about compassion; it’s about replacing lost political power and regaining the free labor they once fought a war to defend.

This is the modern left’s idea of “humanitarianism”: turning a blind eye to child trafficking, shielding criminal operations, and smearing law enforcement for doing their jobs, all while pretending to stand on some moral high ground. But the mask is slipping. The party that once fought to keep slavery legal hasn’t changed nearly as much as they want you to believe; they’ve just outsourced it.
