Of Course, Joe Biden Will Pardon Hunter

It took little time after news of Hunter Biden's guilty plea deal to tax evasion and other crimes for the White House to deny that Joe Biden would commute Hunter's sentence or pardon him. Joe had pledged back in June that he wouldn't pardon his son, and according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre that hasn't changed: “It’s still no.”

Do these people think we're stupid?

By pleading guilty, Hunter Biden faces as much as 15 years of jail time, but trust me, he wouldn't have hired renowned defense attorney Abbe Lowell if he wasn't prepared to fight tooth and nail to avoid jail time. Lowell and his team knew how to maneuver to get what they wanted and even leveraged Joe Biden to get a sweetheart deal that would have not only allowed Hunter to get away with crimes but also blanket immunity. Judge Maryellen Noreika ultimately rejected the deal, but Hunter was never going to willingly serve jail time. Nor will he now.

Ask yourself this: Why, after fighting so long and so hard, is Hunter Biden now willing to admit guilt and avoid trial?

Joe Biden has long defended his son. Back in 2019, he insisted during a Democratic primary debate, “My son did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong."

He added, “I carried out the policy of the United States in rooting out corruption in Ukraine.”

Hunter Biden's crimes are indisputably linked to longstanding allegations of selling influence with his father. Last month, the House Oversight Committee released its impeachment inquiry findings that determined that Biden "committed impeachable offenses."

Among those offenses, "Joe Biden used his status as Vice President to garner favorable outcomes for his son’s and his business partners’ foreign business dealings."

The findings continued:

Witnesses acknowledged that Hunter Biden involved Vice President Biden in many of his business dealings with Russian, Romanian, Chinese, Kazakhstani, and Ukrainian individuals and companies.Then-Vice President Biden met or spoke with nearly every one of the Biden family’s foreign business associates, including those from Ukraine, China, Russia, and Kazakhstan. As a result, the Biden family has received millions of dollars from these foreign entities.

The report also detailed how, under the Biden Administration, the Justice Department and FBI gave Hunter special treatment by slow-walking investigations, coordinating with Hunter's defense team, and letting the statute of limitations lapse, deviating from standard procedures and benefiting Hunter. The Biden Justice Department also misled Congress about the independence of the criminal investigation of Hunter with political appointees exercising significant control over U.S. Attorney David Weiss's actions and only granting him special counsel status after congressional scrutiny.

Hunter Biden's plea deal is 100% to protect his father. His lucrative business dealings are inextricably linked to his father. Period.

Now ask yourself this: Is Hunter Biden really going to risk serving as many as 15 years in prison by pleading guilty? Of course not. He wouldn't take the fall for his dad without some assurance that he'd avoid jail time. Perhaps Joe Biden made a deal when he was forced out to ensure that if whoever replaced him on the top of the Democratic ticket would pardon Hunter if they win. The backup plan, of course, is that if Trump wins, Joe will pardon Hunter on his way out the door, and he'll find a way to blame Trump for changing his mind.

Hunter Biden won't serve his time.
