Back in September, then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden’s corruption, and it’s been an amusing ride ever since. Democrats and their allies in the media have been steadfast in their defense of Joe Biden—all while making it plainly obvious that they know he’s guilty as sin and that a full impeachment is inevitable.
For as long as Biden has been the titular head of the Democratic Party, they’ve been defending him from accusations of influence peddling and corruption and scoffing at the evidence. But if the evidence isn't legitimate, why is it that their defense of Biden has evolved over time as new, incontrovertible evidence has been presented?
“If the evidence wasn’t legitimate evidence, they would still be at their very first position,” Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) told The Daily Signal in a phone interview this week. “But they are not because the evidence has refuted their position. It’s going to refute their position all the way to the point of legitimate articles of impeachment.”
Perhaps the most notable example of this is the way Joe Biden and the White House have maintained, unequivocally and unambiguously, for years that Joe never discussed Hunter’s foreign business deals with him. However, when the House Oversight Committee revealed evidence that Joe Biden clearly talked business with his son Hunter and participated in phone calls with his associate, suddenly they were willing to concede the point that Joe Biden had, in fact, talked business with his son and change their story to Joe Biden "was not in business with his son."
Then the Democrats insisted that there was no evidence that Joe Biden ever personally benefited financially from the business deals of his son Hunter or brother James. Well, that defense fell apart when the House Oversight Committee produced two personal checks to Joe Biden from his brother James Biden, one for $40,000 in laundered money from a Chinese company and the other for $200,000. Both had been described as “loan repayments” in the memo line of the checks. Democrats couldn’t deny how incriminating this evidence was, and insisted that since the payments arrived after he left the vice presidency they had to be above board.
“It tells you everything you need to know right there. They are seeing that the evidence is concrete, it is hard evidence, it is legitimate evidence,” Rep. Clyde said. “It is irrefutable evidence. They are doing everything they can to try to minimize this.”
Even the mainstream media, which has long defended Biden, admits that the evidence contradicts Biden’s public denials about his connections to his family foreign business dealings—though they won’t admit that there’s been a smoking gun yet.
And frankly, they never will. Why would liberal media outlets, which reported on the bogus Russia collusion hoax as if it were real (despite have zero evidence) and pretended that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation, ever concede that the House Oversight Committee got the goods on Joe Biden? Considering the way the media and the Democrats have moved the goalposts on the Hunter/Joe Biden investigation, it’s quite clear they know the evidence is legitimate.
Because of this, Rep. Clyde believes that articles of impeachment are inevitable. “From the evidence that has come from the Oversight Committee and the Ways and Means Committee and the Judiciary Committee, he [Biden] is leveraging United States tax dollars to enrich him and his family,” he said. "That is bribery, that is extortion, and we cannot allow that in the executive branch. So, I am looking forward to the end of the impeachment inquiry. I believe it will result in articles of impeachment.”
