Good Monday morning.
Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:
- The president has lunch with the vice president
There was a Hollywood award show last night
It’s only January and another award show for the Hollywood crowd is in the can. Who won? No idea, but if you care, you can find out here.
Patricia Arquette, who won an award for something or other, thanked Robert Mueller during her speech. Arquette thanked Mueller and “everyone working to make sure that we have sovereignty for the United States of America.” These idiots are delusional. What do they think Mueller is going to reveal when all is said and done? So far, the big fish Mueller has “gotten,” like Manafort, Flynn, Stone, and Cohen, have nothing to do with RUSSIA. They’ve been busted on process crimes. Only a few major players are still available who are viable candidates for the kinds of serious crimes the left is fantasizing Trump committed and that would be Kushner and the Trump sons. Even Carter Page, the patient zero of RUSSIA collusion, is walking free this very minute. Remember, Page was alleged to be a RUSSIAN asset in the garbage FISA warrant used to spy on the Trump campaign. He’s still a free man after two years and a shit-ton of government surveillance. When are we going to see some espionage charges?
Open for business
Trump caved and opened the government on Friday after the Democrat-controlled unions started sicking out at the airports and the GOPe wimped out. I don’t think Trump understands how much the Democrats control the government bureaucracy and for whatever they don’t control, allies like the establishment Republicans can step in to help out. Most elected Republicans are not Trump supporters.
Trump said Congress has three weeks to work out a funding situation for the border security he wants or he will shut the government down or declare an emergency to get the wall funding. He’s not going to shut the government down again, so emergency funding it will be. Let’s hope that Trump has gamed this out because the lawsuits will be filed before the ink is dry on the emergency orders. I don’t think the Democrats will make a deal on this. They can’t give Trump any kind of win. The president agrees with me. “I personally think it’s less than 50-50, but you have a lot of very good people on that board,” the president said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.
Meetings on the “deal” will begin this week.

Mueller gets Roger Stone
So some government storm-troopers busted into the house of a 66-year-old dandy to bring him to justice.
Stone was indicted Friday on charges that he lied to Congress about his interactions with Trump campaign officials, Corsi and Credico regarding WikiLeaks, the group that published emails hacked from the Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. He is also charged with witness tampering involving Credico and obstructing the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign.
CNN, who has colluded with the U.S. intelligence apparatus in the past, just happened to be at the raid to film it? What are the odds? Chuck Ross at the Daily Caller has the story and timeline on the Stone indictment. Victoria Toensing asks a good question: Why Did Christopher Wray Allow Mueller’s Thugs To Use 29 FBI Agents On Roger Stone?
