Good Monday morning and Columbus Day.
The president has no public events on his schedule today.
Las Vegas update:
Law enforcement has revealed that the note spotted in the room of the Las Vegas gunman consisted of his trajectory calculations. “I could see on it he had written the distance, the elevation he was on, the drop of what his bullet was going to be for the crowd,” LVMPD officer Dave Newton said. “So he had had that written down, and figured out so he would know where to shoot to hit his targets from there.”
A prostitute has come forward and provided some character insight about the gunman:
The prostitute said the 64-year-old retired accountant paid her as much as $7,500 a night to join him for “really aggressive and violent sex,’’ which included “rapes.”
She said Paddock, who methodically planned and executed the nation’s deadliest mass-shooting in modern history last week, would tie her up and order her to “scream’’ for help.
“But even so, I could never have imagined he would do something like this,” the call girl said, referring to Paddock’s shooting rampage in Vegas that killed 58 and left nearly 500 more injured.
Steve Wynn, Las Vegas casino owner,e said the shooter “seemed like a rational man,” and made clear that customers are not allowed to have a firearm in their hotel.
“We also have rules about do not disturb,” Wynn said. “If a room goes on do not disturb for more than 12 hours, we investigate. We constantly — we don’t allow guns in this building unless they’re being carried by our employees and there’s a lot of them. But if anybody’s got a gun and we find them continually, we eject them from the hotel.”
Trump v. Corker
We now turn our attention to the cesspool that is Twitter for a fight that broke out over the weekend between Iran-symp Senator Bob Corker and President Trump. It appears the fight began when Corker said Wednesday, “I think Sec. Tillerson, Sec. Mattis, and Chief of Staff Kelly are those people that help separate our country from chaos.” On Sunday, Trump unleashed himself on the social media platform:
Senator Bob Corker "begged" me to endorse him for re-election in Tennessee. I said "NO" and he dropped out (said he could not win without…
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 8, 2017
..my endorsement). He also wanted to be Secretary of State, I said "NO THANKS." He is also largely responsible for the horrendous Iran Deal!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 8, 2017
…Hence, I would fully expect Corker to be a negative voice and stand in the way of our great agenda. Didn't have the guts to run!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 8, 2017
and then
Bob Corker gave us the Iran Deal, & that's about it. We need HealthCare, we need Tax Cuts/Reform, we need people that can get the job done!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 8, 2017
Corker responded:
It's a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.

The AP is reporting that Trump privately urged Corker to run for another term.
Pence leaves Colts game after players take the knee
The Veep bounced out of the Colts-49ers game on Sunday when some of the players refused to stand for the national anthem.
“I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem,” Pence said in a statement.
“At a time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us.”
President Trump added:
I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled, disrespecting our country. I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 8, 2017
The left, which believes the football players have the right to “protest” whatever the hell they are protesting, attacked VP Pence, who apparently does not have that same right.
Weinstein fired
Hollywood degenerate and Democrat money man Harvey Weinstein has been fired from his independent film company after allegations were made that he has sexually harassed women in the movie business for decades.
The Weinstein Company’s board of directors has voted to remove Weinstein from the studio, leaving control of the company in the hands of Weinstein’s brother, Bob Weinstein, and chief operating officer David Glasser, it was announced in a statement from the company Sunday.
“In light of new information about misconduct by Harvey Weinstein that has emerged in the past few days, the directors of The Weinstein Company — Robert Weinstein, Lance Maerov, Richard Koenigsberg and Tarak Ben Ammar — have determined, and have informed Harvey Weinstein, that his employment with The Weinstein Company is terminated, effective immediately,” the statement reads.
As the crisis worsened, Weinstein lost key allies. His attorney Lisa Bloom resigned on Saturday, as did his advisor Lanny Davis, a former White House hand to Bill Clinton. One third of the all-male board quit on Friday, including billionaire investors Marc Lasry and Dirk Ziff, and Technicolor executive Tim Sarnoff. Weinstein was said to be furiously resisting efforts to force him out permanently.
Women have continued to come forward with more allegations.
In a surprise to no one, America’s moral mouthpiece Saturday Night Live had no comment on the Weinstein scandal.
