Woman Protests 'Trump Rally' by Smearing Peanut Butter on Cars

A 32-year-old woman was arrested after she was caught smearing peanut butter on cars at an event she thought was a Donald Trump rally.

Christina Ferguson was arrested in Amherst Junction, Wisconsin after interrupting what turned out to be a meeting of a local environmental organisation, Tomorrow River Conservation Club.

According to eyewitnesses, Ferguson marched into the “Trump Rally” brandishing a “family-size jar of low-sodium, creamy natural Jif”  and started yelling about how much she hated Trump.

Ferguson was asked to leave the premises and members went out to check their cars for possible damage.

One witness said she saw the woman spreading peanut butter on cars and yelled at her before calling the police.

At first, Ferguson denied ever leaving her apartment:

When officers from Portage Co. Sheriff Department questioned Ms Ferguson, she claimed she hadn’t left her apartment that night, while allegedly licking her fingers repeatedly, according to the complaint.

But once identified, she came clean. When asked for the reasons for her peanut butter offensive, Ferguson told police “how much she loved Hillary Clinton and hated Donald Trump,” the complaint says.

“Peanut buttering is better than firebombing, and Trump plans on firebombing everybody in other countries,” Ms Ferguson reportedly said.

When she figured out she was not, in fact, at a Trump rally she said she was “just fed up about the entire election.”

The complaint claimed Ms Ferguson smelt strongly of alcohol and her blood alcohol level was 0.218, more than twice the legal limit for driving.

There is an upside: “Fortunately it wasn’t chunky peanut butter, so vehicles didn’t get scratched,” said Chief Deputy Dan Kontos.
