Marianne Williamson: 'What Does It Say That the Conservatives Are Nicer to Me?'

Look, I’ll admit that my enthusiastic admiration for Marianne Williamson is halfway ironic. I don’t think she has a chance in hell of getting the Democratic Party’s nomination for president. And if she did, I just don’t see her beating Trump. But I genuinely like her. She’s a breath of fresh air. She seems like a really fun person. She and Biden are the only Democrats, politics aside, who seem like they’d be fun to hang out with. And if I had to pick one, Slow Joe would not make the cut.

And today I like her even more, because she has a completely clear-eyed view of the people who are supposedly on her own team:

Presidential candidate and spiritual guru Marianne Williamson was caught on tape saying conservatives and Fox News are nicer to her than some on the Left.

Appearing on Sinclair’s America This Week, Williamson was played a clip where she had previously appeared on the same show and was caught in a hot-mic moment.

“What does it say that Fox News is nicer to me than the lefties are? What does it say that the conservatives are nicer to me? It’s such a bizarre world,” Williamson said. “You know, I’m such a lefty. I mean, I’m a serious lefty, but they’re so … I didn’t think the Left was as mean as the Right, [but] they are.”

If you think she’s wrong, you’re one of the people she’s talking about.

Part of it is that the right doesn’t see her as a threat. I certainly don’t, at least. But the left does. They don’t want her to succeed, because they assume Trump would trounce her. They want her out of the race for the same reason they wanted Trump in it back in 2016.

I hope Marianne Williamson stays in the race as long as she wants. And I hope she keeps paying attention to the reaction from her alleged allies. Lefties will lash out at anybody they see as a threat to their power. And if you’re an attractive woman, the hate is ramped up tenfold. Just ask Sarah Palin. It’s been 10 years since she posed any sort of threat to the left, and they still hate her guts. Blind, unreasoning hatred.

How can anybody hate this lady? She’s a blast!
