When James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas exposed the Deep State’s unelected, unaccountable operatives working on “company” time to disrupt President Donald Trump’s agenda, it also revealed that many of these officials are affiliated with, and inspired by, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). The DSA is also infiltrating America’s public schools.
The Democratic Socialists of America is serious about recruiting young people to become teachers and change agents in our education system.
Fox News and Campus Reform exposed the DSA’s infiltration of America’s public schools, but the best example of the DSA’s intent is the Young Democratic Socialists of America’s pamphlet “Why Socialists Should Become Teachers.” In this 19-page document, the YDSA lays out its case for taking over public schools in every district in our country. The organization is well-organized, well-funded, and committed.
This YDSA recruiting piece is filled with the usual socialist slogans and clichés. In the second paragraph, they admit that “halting charter school legislation” is a priority along with raising taxes “on the corporations and extractive fossil fuel industries that exploit our people.” (Never mind that those same businesses provide heat, light, food, fuel, and clothing for “our people.”) In the opening paragraphs they identify their enemy as successful business, the “ruling class” (whoever that may happen to be), and a capitalistic economy.
This proves, once again, that the Democratic Socialists of America is socialist — the “democratic” is a propaganda term meant to distance the organization from the real results of its own ideology, as Ben Shapiro and Stephen Crowder explain in these videos:

As I read through this pamphlet, I wonder a couple of things: Why is the solution to their perceived problems ALWAYS to raise taxes? Why is the solution to take more money out of the hands of the private sector and put it into the hands of geniuses in government? Are the people in government so much more capable with my money than I am? I also wonder if these people at the DSA have ever started a business, run it efficiently, and turned a profit. (Ooops, I guess I shouldn’t have used the “p” word. But more on that later.)
The YDSA is very clear about its long-term strategy regarding education. They state that “socialists should take jobs as teachers (and other school-based workers) for the political, economic, and social potential the industry holds.” They admit that public education is to become their political weapon to rule over others.
They are adamant that “workers” in education MUST organize. No options. They must form an army (who is the leader?). Is there any room for dissent? If they are anything like socialists over the past 100 years, then no there is no room for dissent. All must rigidly obey their (unelected) rulers at the top, who know what is best for them.
Note this comment from page 6: “Socialists believe that workers create society’s wealth and that the working class is the only class capable of governing society democratically.” So, people who make more money than the socialists allow should have no say in government? Yes, that is what the statement implies. ONLY those who are “with the program” are capable of governing society democratically. Those who are not towing the party line are not capable of governing, apparently. How is that democratic?
Remember, these are the people who want to teach your very impressionable kids.
It does not take long for the author to invoke the sacred name of Karl Marx and explain his inerrant doctrine on economics: “It is at the point of production that workers create value beyond what they are compensated for. This is what Marx called ‘surplus value’ which is realized as profit.”
This idea, the “value theory of labor,” has been explained and refuted many times, as economist Yaron Brooks explains in this video.
So, the YDSA’s teacher/mentor/go-to source to explain a basic point of their worldview is Karl Marx. Let that roll around in your head for a minute. Karl Marx — whose ideas inspired bloodthirsty dictators (Lenin, Stalin, Mao, et al.) who murdered over 100 million people in the past 100 years — is the first guy they quote in an approving way to explain their beliefs. These people are anything but democratic; they are Marxists. And in some places, they are teaching America’s school children.
Under the banner “What is Democratic Socialism?” on the website, the DSA goes to great strides to distance itself from the totalitarian centralized control of Soviet communism and its offspring. It is difficult to do this when at the same time, under its “history” banner, it endorses the communist movements of Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Zimbabwe back in the 1970s and 1980s. It is also difficult to distance yourself from Soviet communism when you are still holding up Karl Marx as a good example of anything, as Stephen Crowder explains in this video.
The Democratic Socialists of America still hasn’t explained why Venezuela’s downward spiral has nothing to do with socialist ideas, as Tucker Carlson demonstrated in this video.
The YDSA is an unequivocal enemy of capitalism: “When capitalist power is strong [you mean the capitalists’ power that created public school funding in the first place?] so is the drive to squeeze the public sphere — to cut funding from universal programs [like public schools] and redirect it toward the market [like private schools].” The author then goes on to bellyache about “the often abysmal funding of schools.”
Okay, so how much money does the government need to spend on public schools each year? The federal budget currently is $68.3 BILLION a year. That is not enough? I live in Ohio, a state that currently spends $7,000 a year per pupil! That is not enough? Fine, how much do we need, then? Give me a number. But no, socialists do not give out concrete numbers because no amount is ever enough.
The YDSA is against school vouchers. That is, it is against taxpayers getting some of their money back in a voucher to take to another school they think will give their kid a better education. Shouldn’t the money follow the child? Shouldn’t the government and all the “experts” in education want the best possible education for the children, even if it means those kids will go to a (horror!) private school?
Why does the YDSA believe that parents must be DENIED the opportunity to send their children to a school better than their current public school? I guess they really don’t believe in choice after all, do they? Vouchers and charter schools allow poor urban families to put their kids in other schools where their children will be safer and get a better education. Why is the YDSA against poor urban families having this opportunity?
What is the immediate strategy of the YDSA when they infiltrate public schools? On page 10, they write: “The aim of the rank-and-file strategy is to build organizations of working class people that challenge the power of capital.”
What is capital? It is your wealth. It is what you own. It is your property that you can develop on your own and sell or trade or keep as you wish. Capital is your intellect, your ideas, your physical strength, your creativity, your conscience, your speech, your will. With your capital you invent, travel, write, sing, build, repair, inspire. All of that is capital. But all of that is somehow evil if you take what you own and make a living off of it and improve your own life.
Somehow, what you earn from the sweat of your own brow also belongs to others who did not earn what you earn. Other able-bodied people have a right to live at your expense, according to the self-admitted Marxists who want to teach your kids.
Finally, here in the fourth paragraph of page 12 is the kicker:
Still, for many people the rewards of teaching outweigh these drawbacks. It’s likely you have had at least one teacher who shaped your perspective, changed your worldview, or inspired you. You could be that person for your students. No matter what subject or grade you teach, your exchanges with students can help shape a generation of critical thinkers and political actors. You will be a key source for how many young Americans come to perceive the world around them. You may even have the opportunity to teach them about social justice and liberation history. And crucially, for organizers, your political work doesn’t end at the classroom door. Your interactions and shared struggle with co-workers can be just as fulfilling.
So there it is. Education for the DSA is NOT about the “three Rs.” The focus is not about teaching basic skills or truths like reading and handwriting, geography, history, science, math, or the arts. No, it’s about brainwashing America’s kids into good little angry malcontented collectivists who want to agitate and take other people’s property and redistribute it (through the all-wise government) to others they think are more worthy of what you earned.
Remember, these are the same people who support the sometimes violent antics of Occupy Wall Street. These are the same people who want to remove any statue of anyone in America’s past (George Washington, Robert E. Lee, Christopher Columbus) who offends them, and rewrite history. These are the same people who think Venezuela is a great place. They think Fidel Castro and Che Guevara are heroes. They want to abolish ICE and have open borders. They love Ocasio-Cortez’s dream of “free Medicare for all” even though it would cost $40 TRILLION (and she doesn’t have a clue about how to pay for it).
The DSA is a group that believes it is so morally superior that its followers are above the law and can break all laws while working for the federal government they are trying to destroy (see Project Veritas videos).
Public education is not what it used to be 50 years ago. A fifth column has invaded and aims to stay.
