Today is one year after the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Approximately 1,200 innocent Israelis were gleefully murdered in cold blood by demons masquerading as men calling themselves "Hamas."
I have not written much about that specific day in my time here at PJ Media. Still, on its first anniversary, I am reminded of an article in the New York Times, whatever you think of it, written two months after the massacre by Jeffrey Gettleman, Anat Schwartz, and Adam Sella.
The three spent the two months between the attack and the article's publication investigating reports of sexual violence carried out by Hamas, and what they discovered is enough to make anyone sick and horrified.
A woman's body was found with multiple nails in her thighs and groin. Two female Israeli Defense Forces soldiers were shot in their genitals.
One witness, who only gave her name as Sapir, described being able to hide as she watched 100 "men" rape and mutilate several women on the side of the road, stabbing one victim every time she flinched.
Severed heads of other women were flaunted, and mutilated breasts were played with like they were scraps of meat fought over by starving dogs.
Bodies of women and girls (one mentioned in the article was just 13 years old) were found in other places attacked by Hamas that day with clear signs of being horrifically violated, many with their hands tied behind their backs.
Although Jewish religious law requiring laying the dead to rest quickly after identification means we will never know the full extent of the sexual violence carried out that day, Hamas gleefully recorded similar atrocities for all the world to see, as if this is something to be proud of.
Shani Louk, a 23-year-old German-Israeli tattoo artist, had her violated corpse paraded around like a trophy in the streets of Gaza amidst demonic crowing and laughter.
But what is just as horrifying, as my fellow PJ Media writers have noted, is that people publicly identify with the perpetrators of this evil, saying Israel is the aggressor here and denying such evil even happened.
My friend Rick Moran covered this yesterday, writing about how a massive crowd of people were openly and happily chanting "Death to Jews" in the streets of Berlin, and how a group in London told pro-Israel counter-protesters that the "freedom fighters" would "finish them off."
There is little doubt in my mind that the speakers of such words would do this themselves if they did not fear retribution.
But even as cowards living comfortably in the West only say these words and Western government officials offer mealy-mouthed gestures of support and solidarity to placate those pro-demon crowds for votes, Israel has been making sure each and every one of those same demons who perpetrated the evils of October 7 are being sent back to hell where they belong, with or without the support of its supposed allies.
Anyone with a shred of humanity, empathy, and morality should be happy about that.
