Somebody call Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.). Again.
In the latest case of the organized wing of the LGBTUVWXYZ continuing its disturbing intrusion into the innocence of kids, Tampa Pride held its annual event this weekend.
Despite advertising itself as "all ages" and "family-friendly," such words proved to be window-dressing once again, as evidenced by this post shared by Gays Against Groomers:
Scenes from yesterday’s Pride in Tampa, FL. Does this look kid friendly to you? It might… if you’re a groomer.

PRIDE IS NOT FOR KIDS! Shame on any parent who brought their children there. #GaysAgainstGroomers pic.twitter.com/zJnW9DmHXc
We're talking phallic lollipops, performers in skimpy outfits (and being worn by dudes), and merchandise such as a paper fan parodying "Make America Great Again" with a raunchy alternative, all openly on display where kids can see.
Naturally, none of this was talked about in the Tampa Bay Times, which simply said the Pride event was "a day of family-friendly fun and celebration," including events such as "a Tampa Pride Street Festival and Health and Wellness Fair, a Diversity Parade along Seventh Avenue in Ybor City and a Pride at Night party at the Cuban Club."
However, the Times did have the decency to say the "Pride at Night" event was reserved for attendants 18 and up, but that's a moot point if the sort of stuff shown above is openly allowed in front of kids in broad daylight (it started at 11 AM, for Pete's sake).
At the beginning of 2023, Gov. DeSantis filed a complaint against the Orlando Philharmonic Foundation for hosting an event called "A Drag Queen Christmas," which featured some of the raunchiest humor this side of Lenny Bruce and GG Allin.
It featured "intentionally exposing performers' prosthetic female breasts and genitalia to the audience;" "intentionally exposing performers' buttocks to the audience;" "simulating masturbation through performers' digitally penetrating prosthetic female genitals;" and easily the most unsettling "graphic depictions of childbirth and/or abortion," to quote myself quoting the complaint from The Floridian.
There were kids present at this, too.
How did they get away with it? A barely visible piece of paper taped to the door that basically said, "This show is dirtier than a pig in mud, but we won't deny letting kids have the ability to watch."

At least it's slightly better than what Heartland Pride out in Omaha, Nebraska, did for their own pride event, which featured a six-year-old boy performing as a drag queen.
Yes, I know I keep referencing that article my friend Catherine Salgado wrote at the beginning of March, but exposing children to inappropriate material is one thing. Getting them to actively participate in it is just even more wrong.
I just hope Gov. DeSantis got word about the blatant false advertising about this latest case of the pride crowd's organized wing exposing kids to inappropriate things in Tampa.
Go get 'em, Ron. Continue being America's Governor.
