Is There Anybody Not Frustrated With the Border?

There is no end to the list of reasons to be frustrated about the ongoing border crisis. Kevin Downey, Jr. gave us a rundown of the various criminals who have entered the country and continue their careers in crime, whether those crimes are sexual, drug-related, violent, or just fraudulent.

Downey reported that a 21-year-old attempted to abduct a 13-year-old girl in Utah and a 12-year-old boy died in a car accident that another illegal immigrant caused, and he made a brief mention of gangs openly selling fake IDs to illegals in Queens.

As Haiti collapses into escalating gang warfare that may or may not include incidences of cannibalism, the Pentagon warned that we can expect a surge in people coming to America, as Lincoln Brown wrote about. Given how easily a lot of criminals are getting into the country as Kevin's piece demonstrated, we can expect more than a few of these gang members to come ashore. Whether or not they start eating people remains to be seen.

And these are just a day after FBI Director Christopher Wray told the Senate Intelligence Committee in a hearing, "Why yes, the FBI has noticed a whole ton of criminals coming over the border, including members of MS-13 and Venezuela's Tren de Aragua. Oh, and there's also a human trafficking network based in the Middle East that might have ties to ISIS."

Director Wray, you could have told us sooner, but you were too busy hunting down little old grandmas who walked into the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and spying on Catholics.

What makes all of it worse is that Democrats don't seem to care, getting angrier at their figurehead Joe Biden for calling José Ibarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela who murdered Georgia student Laken Riley (whose name Biden couldn't even get right) in cold blood, an illegal immigrant. Don't forget that a few days before that, 170 House Democrats voted against a measure detaining violent criminal illegals.

I am not related to any of these victims, nor do I have a friend or family member who has become victimized by the crime enabled by a wide-open border. But I do have a personal reason to be frustrated by this whole mess.

I married a foreign national in November, and at the end of February, we began the process of bringing her up here from her home country of Peru. The initial application fee was $535, a little over double what an illegal can get for a fake ID in Queens (just $250), as I mentioned above.

I know it's the federal government and it has only been about two weeks, but how long are we going to have to wait to see any decision about our case (the status on the USCIS website said two months, but we all know it will be far longer)?

What makes it even worse is that the government could deny us for some silly reason, yet Joe Biden's handlers allow thousands of people to cross the border every single day with minimal processing and arguably treat them better than actual citizens, with free food, shelter, and transportation into the interior of the country.

Okay, rant over.
