What Is So 'Transphobic' About Opposing This?

It seems like only yesterday that transgenderism was something people vaguely knew existed but never really encountered. Nowadays, there seems to be no escape from it.

Kids are learning about gender identity in school, popes and presidents are publicly associating with trans people, and it seems as though you cannot browse Twitter without someone on either side of the argument discussing it.

But one word that keeps getting thrown around is "transphobic." What does it mean? In essence, it means you hate transgender people. But like every leftist buzzword, the definition is stretched so thin that you unknowingly saying "hello, sir" to a 6'2 linebacker dressed like a 12-year-old girl is grounds for being a transphobe who wants them all dead.

You may think seeing people dressed as a caricature of the opposite sex is bad enough, but rarely do you get to see what the "surgery" side of transgenderism looks like.

Libs of TikTok, one of the left's favorite boogeymen (even though founder Chaya Raichik is female, and a natural-born one at that), recently posted this.

See why I made this one a VIP article?

If you wish not to click that link, surgeons specializing in "gender-affirming care" help women who think they are men feel more like they are men by taking several layers of skin from the arm (or thigh) and turning it into a tube in poor imitation of a certain male body part.

I wish I was making this up (although if you think that is bad, just wait till you see how they make men into "women" and hear about what sort of complications they have with that. I won't put any links to that for your sanity. Hope you have a strong stomach!).

People are actually paying money to have this done to themselves, all because they are convinced they are the opposite sex.

I may not always give the best takes (especially when trying to discuss "smart" guns), but even I know this is fundamentally wrong.

And yet that is not even the worst part.

People not only say this should be allowed, but that kids should be allowed to have this done to them.

I repeat: People are saying this should be allowed to be done to kids.

And yet the people saying this is wrong are the ones vilified and told they need to be more accepting lest their kids commit suicide.

In April, the state of Washington passed a bill permitting kids to receive this sort of surgery without parental consent, framing it as kids receiving "life-saving" medical care.

About two weeks ago, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (R?) filed an executive order banning this "surgery" for minors, even though he had vetoed a bill that did the same thing a week before.

This is how he justified the initial veto:

"Ultimately, I believe this is about protecting human life. Many parents have told me that their child would not have survived, would be dead today. They would have taken their life when they were teenagers."

Yeah, I don't get it either.

But this is Clown World, where this sort of stuff is not only becoming normalized but is celebrated as embracing one's true self, and if you don't play along you're the one with a problem.

We might be able to laugh at a grown man leaping like a flying fish, even if it was to attack the judge sentencing him, but there's no humor to be found here. Just horror.
