Apple Loses Some Shine as Mac Sales Slow

Mac sales have slumped – and not just a little. While Apple laptop sales continue strong, sales of desktop units shrunk 35 percent — a sharp reversal for the Cupertino computer maker. While all desktop sales have seen a fall-off, this significant pull-back by Apple may be a glimpse of things to come for Apple.  Customers are hoarding money, holding back from big ticket spending and demanding the maximum for their dollars.  It could be that the high-priced Mac is suffering because of this and, if so, it may be a while before its desktop sales rebound.
