Samsung Drops Bid For SanDisk - Was It Ever Real?

Saying that it no longer believes the company is worth the $5+ Billion offered, Samsung has retracted its offer to purchase SanDisk.  SanDisk stock tumbled on the news. Despite the public posturing by Samsung, questions linger about whether the offer was real to begin with, or whether there other motives at play.
