Dropping the F-bomb seems to have extended far beyond the rantings of giggling adolescents. So the usefulness of censor software that can clean up conversation in real-time is obvious. Certainly TV and radio stations could find a real use for this technology — but ARStechnica’s Jonathan Gitlin worries what else could be blocked and how could this technology be used by governments to control free speech.
