After Field Tests, Congressmen Support Opening Up Unlicensed TV White Space

A group of eight Congressional representatives have sent FCC Chair Kevin Martin a letter supporting the use of temporarily unused TV bandwidth for unlicensed broadband applications.  The group urged Martin to develop plans for the space over the next 90 days, that would “open the white-space spectrum and provide adequate protection to existing users”.  Critics are concerned about interference with existing white space devises.
