One Man's Journalist is Another Man's Internet Hacker

Reuters editor indicted for conspiring with hacker group “Anonymous,” according to the Politico. “Matthew Keys, a deputy social media editor at Thomson Reuters, has been charged in a federal indictment for allegedly conspiring with members of the hacker group ‘Anonymous’ to hack into a Tribune Company website, the Justice Department announced today:”

The arraignment is set for April 12 in Sacramento. If convicted, Keys could face up to 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000 for each count, according to the indictment. The indictment also contains a notice of forfeiture provision for property traceable to the offense.
