The Daily Caller’s Michelle Fields has a little Alinsky-style fun with wealthy liberals, a group whose fellow Obama supporters like to call The One Percent:

I’ve written before about how some leftists have a masochistic desire to pay higher taxes.
I’ve also exposed Warren Buffett’s dishonest math, which is part of his campaign for bigger government.
And I’ve even debated rich statists on TV, telling them not to make the rest of us victims of their neurotic guilt feelings.
So it was with considerable amusement that I saw this video clip from the Daily Caller, exposing the utter hypocrisy of rich leftists.
Besides, as President Obama told his fellow members of the One Percent in 2009 on his favorite channel, GE-owned MSNBC, you don’t raise taxes in a recession:
Meanwhile, at CNN, “Same-sex spouses lose big on taxes:”
Same-sex spouses are paying as much as $6,000 a year in extra taxes because the federal government doesn’t recognize gay marriage, according to an analysis conducted for CNNMoney by tax specialists.
While marriage provides tax benefits for many heterosexual couples, same-sex families don’t enjoy the same perks because they are not allowed to file their federal returns jointly.
The imbalance persists despite increasing acceptance of gay marriage as a legal right. More than 12 states now grant full or partial marriage rights to same-sex couples, and a recent Gallup poll showed — for the first time — that a majority of Americans favor gay marriage.
But not the federal government, which is constrained by the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act. Even as more same-sex couples are able to file jointly at the state level, they are still forced to file as single when submitting federal returns to the IRS.
This means they can’t combine their income and deductions to take advantage of lower tax rates. It’s also harder for them to qualify for certain tax breaks because the credits phase out sooner for single filers.
But in September, CNN’s on-air talent has said that American taxes should be raised:
CNN business correspondent Christine Romans claimed Monday that “any serious budget expert’s analysis” concludes that taxes must increase. During CNN’s coverage of President Obama’s address concerning his deficit reduction plan, Romans asked not if, but when Republicans should get on board with his proposals.
“So at what point do Republicans say, okay, we agree that taxes have to go up, and here’s what we’ll agree to?” Romans posed to former Bush CBO director, Douglas Holtz-Eakin.
Aren’t these same-sex couples simply ahead of the curve when it comes to paying taxes to support the president’s agenda?
