Comes from America.  The sixties.  1969 to be precise.  The Weathermen in Chicago.  A friend of mine goosed me:  “you think it’s an accident that the demonstrators in Cairo are using that phrase?”  I kinda thought it was.  But now I find that the San Francisco Chronicle is talking to their lady-on-the-scene, and it’s Medea Benjamin from Code Pink.

WTF is Medea Benjamin doing in Cairo?  Maybe my friend was right…there’s lots of different kinds of people in the streets of Egypt, including professional leftists, and it’s gonna take quite a while before we can sort out these events.

Better to be an historian, all in all.
