In the meantime, it’s worth noting that, like the rest of us, apparently the ombudsman of the Washington Post can’t be bothered to read Newsweek — even though the magazine is owned by the Post. And that as always, the role of the ombudsman at the modern newspaper is to provide cheat-and-retreat cover after it moves even further to the left than usual to cover a political story and retreats to the putative center, at least for a moment.
