“California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will seek ‘terrible cuts’ to eliminate an $18.6 billion budget deficit facing the most-populous U.S. state through June 2011, his spokesman said.”

If only that quote had come in 2004 or 2005, the reputation of both Arnold and California would be doing infinitely better today. And while California remains the most-populous US state for now, the outflows continue, something a governor who was more concerned with green eyeshade accounting rather than green energy fantasies might have prevented.
