The left-wing political network MoveOn.org is promising massive protests around the country should President Trump decide to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
“We won’t allow it,” the Soros-funded organization wrote in a post announcing the protests. “That’s why we’re preparing to hold emergency ‘Nobody Is Above the Law’ rallies around the country, in the event they are needed—800+ of them and counting, in every state, with 300,000 RSVPs to date!”

“Trump will create a constitutional crisis if he fires special counsel Robert Mueller or Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees Mueller, or attempts to compromise the investigation by other means,” the MoveOn.org post reads.

The left, as usual, is overreacting.
Granted, Trump, outraged over the raid on his lawyer’s private residence and office, did float the possibility of firing Mueller Monday evening, but sources close to the president are throwing cold water on the idea. According to House Speaker Paul Ryan, the White House has assured him that it’s not happening.
“I have assurances that it’s not, because I’ve been talking to people in the White House about it,” Ryan told Fox News Wednesday morning.
Some pundits have been suggesting that the FBI raid was designed to “goad” Trump into firing Mueller — so the left can use it against him.
DC attorney Victoria Toensing told Fox News’ Lou Dobbs Monday night that because the special counsel found no evidence of collusion with the Russians, what Mueller and his people are trying to do is to goad the president into firing them.”
And conservative radio talk legend Rush Limbaugh said on his show Tuesday that the clamor about firing Mueller is all about the deep state’s one objective: “Getting rid of Donald Trump.”
Donald Trump’s objective, therefore, has to be to survive this attempt to get rid of him.
Firing Mueller and Rosenstein is exactly what people want him to do, make him look like he’s out of control, make him look like he’s hiding something. And I think they’re trying to goad him into doing it again because they don’t have anything on Trump! They may have something on Mueller. They don’t have anything on Trump.
I don’t think right now they have anything they could prosecute Trump on. Impeach, different thing. That all hinges on the Democrats winning the House of Representatives in 2018.
There is nothing the left would enjoy more than the political fallout –with the spectacle of protests against Trump in over 800 cities across America ahead of the 2018 midterms.
As Toensing argued on Fox Business Monday night, the president should “stay cool” and not allow himself to be goaded into firing Mueller.
