White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders didn’t hold back when asked about an ESPN host’s now-famous anti-Trump Twitter tirade calling the president a white supremacist.
SportsCenter co-host Jemele Hill began her tirade by saying, “Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.”
A reporter asked Sanders if the president was aware of the comment.
“I’m not sure if he’s aware [of that comment] but I think that’s one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make — and certainly something that I think is a fireable offense by ESPN,” Sanders answered.
Whether or not the White House should be recommending anyone’s firing is certainly debatable, but one thing is for sure: Hill is not in any danger of that happening. ESPN has thus far only issued a mild rebuke of her comments, saying the comments don’t represent the position of the network and that they have discussed the issue with her.
Her anti-Trump comments, meanwhile, remain on Twitter for all to see:

ESPN has not even asked her to take down her offensive tweets.
