While “stunned” Republican lawmakers sputter in anger and confusion at President Trump’s abrupt decision to strike a deal with Democrats to increase the debt ceiling, a gleeful Lou Dobbs seems to be enjoying the show.
The Fox Business host shared his thoughts on “the death of a RINO” on Lou Dobbs Tonight Wednesday evening, claiming that Speaker Paul Ryan was “booted to the side” for running an inefficient, do-nothing Congress.
“I’m talking about Speaker Paul Ryan and his obsequious deference to corporate lobbyists, his unbridled hostility toward President Trump,” said Dobbs. “The president not only took RINO Ryan to the woodshed, but eliminated any need for any Republican to ever pretend again that Ryan is a real Republican in any way, or that any RINO has a political future after Mr. Trump booted the hapless fool of a speaker out of the way of those trying to do the nation’s business.”
Dobbs compared Ryan’s “inane insults, obstinance and subversion of President Trump” to the calmer, more conciliatory demeanor of the Democratic leaders.
“Now Ryan is fully exposed to the nation,” Dobbs declared. “His Congress … has accomplished next to nothing this year. Nothing in Ryan’s nearly two year tenure has been done!”
The host continued, “President Trump and congressional conservatives, in my opinion, have now made it clear … that Ryan is nothing more than an immense obstacle to getting the people business done and that its time to follow the president’s leadership and to implement fully his agenda.”
He concluded that RINOs are a dying breed because not even “massive amounts of corporate lobbying money” can buy them a political future.
