FOTB basketball

I remember going to see Father of the Bride in the theater like it was yesterday. I was only 11 at the time, but I fell in love with Steve Martin’s character’s house (and of course the beautiful wedding they threw there). And I’m sure I wasn’t alone.

Now anyone with about $2 million can be the lucky owner of that house! Yep, the southern California colonial home is for sale. It turns out that not every aspect of the house was shown in the movie. In fact, even the facade was from a similar looking house that was located in Pasadena. But that famous father-daughter backyard basketball scene? That was shot at this house, as was the wedding.

The parts of this home that weren’t shown on camera are actually stunning, and worth a look. They include four bedrooms, an incredible gourmet kitchen (with a 90-bottle wine fridge), and a walnut-paneled den.
