Jon Snow and Ygritte are Finally a Couple in Real Life!

The cultural juggernaut that is “Game of Thrones” will have its Season 6 premiere in mere days. For many rabid fans April 24^th cannot, and will not, come soon enough and when it does, we know where millions of people will be at 9 p.m. ET.

But the forthcoming premiere is not what we are celebrating here. No. Instead, we are celebrating the forbidden Romeo & Juliette-esque love affair of Jon Snow and Ygritte – also known as Kit Harington and Rose Leslie. They were unlikely matched lovers—she a Wilding and he a brother of the Night’s Watch—who consummated their love in Season 2. At the end of Season 3 we worried that they may not live happily ever after when she repeatedly shot Jon with arrows. Their love finally came to an end with Ygritte meeting the same bow and arrow fate but not surviving at the conclusion of Season 4. Still, there was something about these two that made you root for them.

Well, guess what? You still can. Only this time in real life. Kit and Rose ignited the rumor mill and lit the celebrity-starved-internet aflame recently when they appeared hand-in-hand in an airport together on their way to… somewhere. The rumors of their dating had been swirling for a fair bit of time. But now the rumors appear to be confirmed. The pair attended the Oliver Awards on Sunday, where they shared a kiss on the red carpet.
