Shortly after news broke on Friday that Mexican marines recaptured powerful drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, Twitter users flocked online to express their outrage that the Sinaloa Cartel head didn’t have the opportunity to assassinate current GOP presidential candidate Donald J. Trump.

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto relayed the news of the arrest, tweeting a “Mission accomplished” message in Spanish.

My PJTV colleagues John Phillips, Stephen Kruiser and Scott Ott have previously discussed a brief online spat in which a Twitter account linked to Guzman directly threatened Trump, shortly after escaping prison in that same month.

Regarding “El Chapo,” Trump has said that he would “kick his ass!” (Segment here.)

As of this writing, PJ Media is only one of the few  outlets  that have exposed these recent tweets calling for the death of a current U.S. presidential candidate.
