If you are gullible enough to take a copy of New York Magazine’s supposedly groundbreaking issue focusing on men’s fashion/style, you might find yourself puzzled by the fact that the models seem to be wearing scarcely any clothes — stylish or otherwise — and that one half-naked model is a woman who cut her breasts off. But in woke world, nothing is too ridiculous to put in print.
First, it is always a goal among modern lefties to redefine words, so it is hardly unusual for them to use words that mean one thing to describe a reality that is totally different. Secondly, modern Western culture is very puerile and silly. For decades, fashionistas, celebrities, and journalists have glorified each other for wearing and doing and saying the most outrageous and stupid things. Oscars go to trashy, forgettable films, and journalism awards go to empty-headed propagandists who lie for a living. It’s why ordinary Americans have so little faith in Hollywood or mainstream media now.
Great civilizations produce great works of art and architecture like the Sistine Chapel, the Jerónimos Monastery, Angkor Wat, Mount Rushmore, and Notre Dame. That fact should worry us, given the quality of art, architecture, and fashion nowadays. Speaking of which, somewhere along the way American critics went from celebrating James Stewart, Bruce Willis, Denzel Washington, and John Wayne to celebrating “Elliott” Page, and I think we should all be reassessing our culture.

Somewhere in between is our shoot at the Russian & Turkish Baths on East 10th Street, where photographer Ryan McGinley shvitzed and kibitzed with some of New York’s most stylish men, including Sivan, who just moved to the city.” Partway through the sample, you will notice one cadaverous individual who is actually a woman, Ellen Page, the gender dysphoric actress who played Sinon in the recent controversial Odyssey movie.

And featuring a half-naked, mutilated woman in an issue about men’s style is a very deliberate redefinition of masculinity.
