The Hideous Irony of Colleges Funding Abortion to Kill Future Students

There is a morbid and sickening irony in the fact that so many leftist colleges and universities are funding abortion research and encouraging abortions, thus ensuring the deaths of future college students. It is amazing how self-destructive and suicidal leftist ideology is. (Warning: this article contains graphic descriptions of abortion.)

In his prequel to The Lord of the Rings called The Silmarillion, J.R.R. Tolkien describes the fall of Numenor, which has elements from the Biblical Flood but also is meant to be a warning allegory (and yes, Tolkien himself occasionally referred to his works as allegories) for the West. The Numenoreans fall under the influence of the demon-like Sauron. And one of their suicidal mistakes is that they gradually have fewer and fewer children. A civilization—whether fictional or real—without a replacement population is doomed to die. That is what U.S. universities aren’t admitting.

Campus Reform reported two stories that made me reflect on this topic. For instance, “The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Nursing is accepting applicants for a fellowship carrying a $5,000 stipend that trains emergency department clinicians to provide so-called ‘reproductive healthcare,’ including abortion-related procedures.” Since abortion is never necessary to save the life of a mother, based on testimony from numerous experts, it is not clear why emergency department training would need to involve killing babies.

Meanwhile, Rutgers University also co-sponsors the “Reproductive and Gender Health Fellowship,” which works with Planned Parenthood to train physicians so that they can perform abortions. Notice how they call killing babies “reproductive healthcare” in an Orwellian propaganda move. It's as demonically deceptive as calling an abortion giant "Planned Parenthood."

The apostles in the Didache and the Founding Fathers condemned abortion because it is such an unspeakable evil. Surgical abortion involves dismembering and/or beheading a baby in the womb and sometimes involves crushing a baby’s head or poisoning him. Abortion pills, meanwhile, essentially starve the baby to death. But women suffer from abortion, too. At least 27 women have died, and 3,000 women have reportedly been hospitalized after taking abortion pills. Abortion is tied to an increased risk of mental health problems for women, including a higher risk of depression — even if the pregnancies were unwanted. Evidence from experts indicates that abortion just adds to the trauma of rape victims, and women, especially teens, who get abortions are more at risk of suicide, self-harm, PTSD, and trauma — even lasting for years after the abortions.

And to top it off, abortion has killed over 64 million babies even as our country draws ever closer to population collapse. Democrats used mass migration to hide the crisis, but bringing in millions of foreign criminals doesn't solve the dearth of American babies. The Congressional Budget Office estimated this year that by 2030, there will be more American deaths than births, and even the abortion-loving United Nations has admitted that much of the world is likely to experience major depopulation within the next couple of decades (Muslim nations excepted, it seems). In 2023, the U.S. Census Bureau predicted a significant drop in population in our country within the next few years. Abortion is not only killing future students and voters, it is literally rushing America toward civilizational collapse.

I think the graphic above comparing abortion to ancient pagan child sacrifice is apt, except in this case, the idol is woke ideology, not a specific bestial statue.
