Newsom’s AI Vid Showing Trump Handcuffed in Anti-ICE Backlash Is Revealing

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) arguably breaks federal immigration law every day with his sanctuary policies. He has also turned California into one of the most unlivable states in the union. But he feels so confident, so secure both personally and politically, that he responded to a White House/ICE warning by fantasizing about arresting the president and his administration.

The White House joked on X, “WE HEARD IT'S CUFFING SZN. Bad news for criminal illegal aliens. Great news for America.” It included footage of federal immigration enforcement arrests of dangerous foreign criminals. Newsom responded with an AI video depicting Donald Trump, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and White House advisor Stephen Miller handcuffed, first on a curb and then in a police car. As an especially insulting touch, the AI showed Trump et al. crying.

Newsom did not say explicitly that he chose these particular officials because of the fully legal War Department strikes on narcoterrorists or not, but it seems very likely. Democrats who constantly flout the law themselves are screaming nonstop about supposedly illegal orders in the military chain of command right now. But one thing is certain — Newsom is overdue for accountability.

I have made the case before that Newsom is in perpetual violation of federal immigration law, and I am not the only one. Trump’s border czar Tom Homan has indicated as much, as has Donald Trump. But instead of just repeating my opinion, I’ll quote from federal law and let you decide for yourselves.

8 U.S. Code § 1324 states that anyone who “encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law” or “conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien” is in violation of the law. That certainly seems to describe California’s sanctuary policies. 18 U.S. Code § 111 also bans interference with federal officers’ operations.

So if any politician should be handcuffed, it’s Gavin Newsom. At the very least, California should lose all federal funding until and unless Newsom stops acting like a socialist tyrant. That’s a hard-hitting and fully justifiable move should the Trump administration choose to take it. California is horribly in debt — more so than any other state — and losing taxpayers all the time. Why should the rest of America keep funding Newsom’s failed policies?

But Newscum’s AI video proves one thing — he truly believes that no matter what he does or says, he will always be exempt from legal consequences, just as he broke his own Covid-19 lockdown.

Newsom is the worst sort of leftist oligarch. He is absolutely confident that laws don’t apply to him, and that the law and all his fellow citizens should be subject to his whims. The artificial intelligence-generated cuffing video is puerile, but it also reveals the deep corruption and extreme arrogance of the White House-aspiring governor of California.
