Once a jihadi, always a jihadi. Al-Sharaa, whose name used to be al-Golani or al-Julani to signify his support of Palestinians taking the Golan Heights, seems determined to prove that maxim. He might have replaced his jihadi HTS uniform with a Western suit, but he’s still the same Jew-hating mass murderer — and liar — underneath.

The al-Aqsa mosque compound desecrates the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, an architectural symbol of Islam’s false claim to the spiritual heritage of Judaism and Christianity. Hamas referred to the Oct. 7 massacre as the al-Aqsa flood.

Jihad is predictable because Islam is predictable — nearly 1,500 years of predictability. Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of a Hamas co-founder, pointed out the inherently dishonest nature of Islam — that it is a religion of theft. Responding to a post about Muslims’ false claims to the ancient Jewish capital of Jerusalem, Yousef wrote, “I wish the Muslim claim to Jerusalem were the only lie. Hell, they even call Christ, David, and Moses Muslims! The only faith that brazenly steals other religions' figures and rebrands them as their own. Utterly shameless, devoid of dignity.”
Islamic sacred texts also explicitly endorse rape, sex slavery, murder, and jihad against non-Muslims — especially Jews. While there are many Muslims who don’t adhere to all of these precepts, they make any explicitly Muslim government dangerous. Now it does sometimes happen that “Muslim” governments are secular enough that we can make mutually beneficial deals with them — the late Shah of Persia, whom Jimmy Carter betrayed, was one example. Then there are explicit, out-and-out jihadi governments like HTS in Syria. Giving them favors just ensures more bloodshed.
Al-Golani, Mohammed, Mahmoud Abbas — it doesn’t matter the name or the country or the era, they are all part of the same murderous Islamic cabal.
