The illegal alien who tried to evade arrest in Los Angeles by ramming federal vehicles and whose actions necessitated defensive fire that injured a U.S. marshal is… a popular TikTok influencer. Not only that, but a Los Angeles councilman praised the illegal, who built a following by filming ICE arrests. Thanks to Democrats, criminals can monetize their illegal activities.
Carlitos Ricardo Parias finally pushed his luck too far, ending up arrested and hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his elbow after his efforts to thwart immigration enforcement turned violent. Parias became a TikTok star, specifically famous for filming Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which, under some circumstances, crosses the line into illegal activity.
The New York Post explained that Parias has over 130,000 followers as “RichardLA” on TikTok, but after his assault on federal agents and arrest he could be looking at eight years in prison — and hopefully deportation.
He mostly follows ICE agents around Los Angeles, recording them detaining suspected illegal immigrants, getting him hundreds of thousands of views and likes…Parias was arrested and charged with assaulting a federal officer. He is scheduled to make his initial court appearance at the federal courthouse in Los Angeles on Wednesday and faces up to eight years in prison if convicted.
The problem is, there are so many Democrats who have bought the lie that ICE is the new Gestapo or slave patrols that there is a huge market for the type of dangerous content that Parias posted on Chinese Communist Party-tied TikTok.

For example, Los Angeles City Councilman Curren Price promoted Parias and his TikTok posts, boosting the illegal’s reach and providing the illusion that he is an American journalist. “Richard is a pillar of our community, a fearless citizen journalist whose authentic storytelling has consistently uplifted the unheard voices of South Central Los Angeles,” Price sniffled. “His unfiltered portrayal of real life has fostered a loyal following, both on TikTok and throughout our City.” Yes, “unfiltered.” So unfiltered that he committed a crime and endangered the lives of federal officers.
Notice the emphasis on a “loyal following.” That’s a condemnation, not a compliment, whatever Price intended. Parias is an illegal alien who repeatedly tried to dox ICE agents and ended up nearly getting a U.S. marshal killed. But Price and all of the people who loyally follow Parias on TikTok are nearly as bad, if not equally bad. Why? Because they provided the impetus for Parias to continue growing bolder and bolder in his criminal activity. They made his videos, which potentially put all of the officers at risk, a lucrative and fame-fueling endeavor.
Or, in other words, Papias became an online star because Democrat politicians and leftist activists have gone out of their way to hype lies against ICE. How many other anti-ICE crazies have also used their illegal activities against immigration officers to make money or gain new followers on multiple social media platforms?
