The Trump administration just rejected authoritarian World Health Organization (WHO) treaty amendments, and the Communist Chinese government — which developed many of the awful pandemic policies WHO recommends — is outraged.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), America’s number one enemy and perpetrator of the worst COVID lockdown in the world, doesn’t care about health. It cares that the U.S. is turning its back on the WHO, which during Covid-19 took its policies from China, the source of the virus and of the lockdown measures. The rejected WHO treaty would have allowed the globalist organization to dictate what constitutes a pandemic and what every member country’s response would be. Which probably would have given the CCP influence over future pandemic responses in America. Thank God we’re safe from that hot mess.
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Secretary of State Marco Rubio yesterday announced the U.S. had rejected the WHO treaty amendments to help complete our withdrawal from the WHO. That matters to China. A U.S. House Select Subcommittee in 2023 found that on the origin of COVID-19, the WHO ignored “facts and parrot[ted] back statements from the Chinese Communist Party.” The WHO ran cover for the genocidal Chinese government and promoted its lies and measures, House Republicans accused.
In light of which, it’s no surprise that CCP propaganda outlet Global Times was quick to predict dire consequences from the U.S. rejecting the CCP-pandering WHO’s guidelines:
The so-called sovereignty concern voiced by the US has been disputed, as some foreign media said the amendment doesn’t override national sovereignty. The US move, following its unilateral withdrawal from the WHO, may disrupt global governance in public health, according to a Chinese expert.
Not global governance! Disrupt anything but that!

The CCP outlet continued, citing Reuters (who needs foreign propaganda when we have leftist media?), to assert a second time that the treaty amendments would not endanger national sovereignty. This is flat-out not true. The amendments would have allowed the WHO to dictate when a pandemic occurs and what a government had to do about it.
But Global Times wants the U.S. in the WHO precisely to compromise national sovereignty. Hence the CCP outlet griped that “rejection of WHO decisions demonstrates” America’s “attempt to pursue exclusive dominance rather than multilateral collaboration,” as asserted by Lü Xiang, a research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
For the US itself, according to Lü, severance from WHO's global information network would critically compromise US’s capacity to maintain comprehensive epidemiological data integrity. This self-inflicted isolation would significantly diminish its preparedness for future pandemics…
As a nation with vast population mobility, if the US refuses to cooperate with the WHO and other countries, it will lead to impeded information exchange with the outside world, thereby disrupting the governance of global public health security, Lü added.
The CCP sure is worked up about this. And if you are infuriating the CCP and the WHO at the same time, you’re doing something right.
