The Israeli government is now approving thousands of gun license applications on a daily basis, after learning the hard and bloody way that guns save lives — and lack of gun ownership ensures worse mass murders. If only America’s current anti-Constitutional, anti-liberty administration were interested in recognizing that fact.
Israel has learned the lesson that private gun ownership can save lives. Yet the Democrat Party and many of its supporters in America, not to mention leftists in Europe and countries with strict gun control, still think gun rights mean more deaths. Do we really have to go through the horrific tragedy Israel experienced in October to realize the truth? Over 1,400 Israelis were killed, many in absolutely heinous and demonic ways, in the latest Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. In America, almost 95% of mass shootings occur in gun-free zones. How many innocents have to die brutal deaths before we recognize the reality that gun rights protect, not endanger, citizens?
Breitbart reported on Israel’s wake-up call on gun rights. The outlet cited the Times of Israel to quote Israel Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir saying, “When the war started, we knew that we were right when we said that every place that has a weapon can save a life.” He added, “My policy within the office was to permit as many people as possible to get a weapon…[and] in a short period of time, we were giving up to 3,000 approvals a day.”
Ben Gvir indicated over 260,000 gun license applications have been approved since October 7, 2023 … In mid-November roughly 1,700 applications were being approved daily, and the number of daily approvals has nearly doubled since then.
Breitbart News noted that an armed civilian opened fire Thursday on terrorists who attacked a Jerusalem bus stop. Two off-duty soldiers opened fire as well and the terrorists were killed.
Americans who don’t realize that guns save lives are believing propaganda, not hard data. Between 1950 and May 2022, as I have noted before, 94% of mass public shootings occurred in gun-free zones. As of 2020, a Secret Service report found that 42% of mass shootings involved illegally owned guns. Now, those are American statistics. They’re important from our perspective because they prove that “gun control” is about government power, not about saving lives. And I would guess these statistics could provide potentially useful information for Israel too — they indicate that Israelis will be a lot safer if there’s more private gun ownership.
But we don’t need to speculate off U.S. statistics here, as there is at least some evidence from the recent Hamas terrorist war to support the argument that guns can save lives. Ultimately, if there’s a terrorist barging into your home or a terrorist attacking a bus stop armed to the teeth with weaponry, your only hope is likely to be blowing that terrorist away with a gun. I already quoted from Breitbart about how an armed civilian helped kill terrorists attacking a bus stop in Jerusalem. During the Oct. 7 attacks, a retired Israel Defense Forces (IDF) general and grandfather rescued survivors and joined IDF fighters in taking on Hamas terrorists, armed with his pistol. An Israeli father at a ravaged kibbutz saved his family by shooting every Hamas terrorist who tried to breach his house. If only more kibbutz residents had been armed.
Terrorists are crossing our southern U.S. border, and there are terrorist cells operating in America. We’ve seen a rise in anti-Semitic hate incidents and massive marches in support of Hamas terrorism. Don’t be too certain Israel’s nightmare couldn’t happen in your neighborhood.

Israel looked upon the corpses of their children and realized that there should have been more guns to protect those precious innocents. Would the American government care if such a mass tragedy happened in America, and will the Biden administration stop attacking gun rights before it does occur?
