Specifically, immigration laws.
In legal terms, if someone enters a nation without the proper paperwork and circumvents their security, they are illegal aliens.
Vice President Joe Biden disagrees, despite the fact that he swore an oath to faithfully execute America’s laws. During a speech today, he stole several bases on the issue of illegal immigration.
Speaking at a U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce event, Biden said undocumented immigrants should be given the chance to become citizens and contribute to the country.
“These people are just waiting, waiting for a chance to be able to contribute fully,” he said. “And by that standard, 11 million undocumented aliens are already Americans, in my view.”
Yeah. They’re not. Illegal aliens either crossed the border illegally or they came into the US another way and then overstayed their visas. Either way, they’re not “already Americans.”
Were 9-11 hijackers Mohammed Atta and Marwan al Shehhi already Americans when they overstayed their visas, used false identification, boarded aircraft and then started a war? Are drug cartel members who kill in Mexico and buy houses with cash in Hidalgo County “already Americans,” Mr. Vice President?
As someone who is married to a legal immigrant, I’d like an explanation for why my family had to go through the visa process and pay the fees. If everybody is just already an American, what’s the point of having an immigration system at all?
By the way, the US Chamber of Commerce talks a great game about Obamacare. But when that group sides with the likes of Biden on immigration and amnecy, they’re enabling the most lawless administration in our nation’s history, and it is paving the way for more lawlessness. That’s just a fact.
