A major building explosion has been reported at 116th Street and Park in East Harlem, NY this morning. FDNY and NYPD are responding. There is also a report of a three-alarm fire blazing atop what’s left of the structure.

There are reports that people are trapped after part of the building collapsed.
It is unclear what caused the explosion at this time, but Con Ed was requested on rush for a gas leak.
