The other day while surfing and blogging I came across a post that captured HLN’s Nancy Grace perfectly in two words: “toxic avenger.”
Let’s shoehorn “racist” into that movie reference.
After replaying defense lawyer Mark O’Mara‘s plea for the jury to let George Zimmerman “get back to his life,” Grace railed against such a thought:
“Let him get back to his life. Give him back his life. Give George Zimmerman back his life. […] Give Zimmerman back his life? He’s out on bond driving through Taco Bell every night, having a churro. You know, long story short, he’s got his life. Who is going to give life back to Trayvon Martin? I find that, at the very least, a very poor choice of words.”
Zimmerman is half-Hispanic.
His mother is from Peru, where tacos and churros aren’t typically part of the cuisine, where “typical Peruvian dishes…benefit from European, African and Asian influences.”
In the world outside Nancy Grace’s poisonous mind, George Zimmerman and his entire family have had to go into hiding as death threats have piled up against them, the New Black Panthers put a bounty on his head, and idiots have tweeted his personal information while NFL stars hope that “the hood” catches up with him soon.
We await La Raza’s reaction to Nancy Grace’s taco comment…which should be coming along…any minute now. Right?
