On Wednesday, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel declared that the Chick-Fil-A restaurant chain is not welcome in Chicago, citing remarks by the chain’s owner in opposition to same-sex marriage. Emanuel said “If you’re gonna be a part of our community, you should reflect Chicago values.”
But on the same day, Emanuel welcomed Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan to help fight crime.
Emanuel’s opposition to Chick-Fil-A stems from something the restaurant’s owner said, and which Emanuel disapproves. Does he then approve of the following things that Louis Farrakhan said?
Farrakhan: The Jews control black entertainers.

Farrakhan: The Jews financed Hitler.

Farrakhan: Jews control black athletes, who are “slaves” “still on the plantation.”
Farrakhan: The Jews have an “undeniable record” of black oppression.
Farrakhan: The Jews and Zionists are trying to push America into war. Make that “Satanic Jews.”
Farrakhan: The Jews have usurped the blacks’ position as the children of Israel.
So anti-Semitism is well in line with “Chicago values,” while being among the 50% or so who oppose same-sex marriage is not. Who knew?
