Union Busing Up to Shake Down Congress in the Debt Fight

The union in question here is AFSCME — the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. In other words, these are government workers in this photo, which was snapped today outside AFSCME’s headquarters in Washington DC. They’re heading to the Capitol to goad Congress on behalf of the Democrats in the debt fight.

The logo on their shirts says “AFSCME: We Make America Happen.”

A little truth in advertising is in order. The shirts should say “AFSCME: Like other unions, we make America less competitive, we jack up your taxes to support Democrats, and we’re partisan shills shaking down Congress on your dime, America!”
