DeLay sentenced

Former Rep. Tom DeLay has been sentenced to three years in prison, which among other things will stoke the left’s narrative.  Not only are conservatives killers, we’re all crooks too! Never mind that graft didn’t register with either party (it’s one of the few truly bipartisan aspects of our system), and never mind that DeLay’s particular prosecution was fraught with politics from beginning to end.   It’s the result of a political party that fairly lost its power and has nursed a Texas-size grudge ever since.

So let the appeals process begin.

Update: Just to be clear, there are no angels in this case and I’m not suggesting that there are.  But the roots of this case are political, imho.
