Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) raised the monthly best of any candidate in this election cycle when he raked in $43.5 million in February.
That was compared to Hillary Clinton’s $30.1 million in February.
Bernie just broke his own record for March.
After the midnight fundraising deadline, the Sanders camp announced they hit $44 million last month.
His first-quarter haul is $109 million, with nearly all of that raised online.
“What this campaign is doing is bringing together millions of people contributing an average of just $27 each to take on a billionaire class which is so used to buying elections,” Sanders said in a statement. “Working people standing together are going to propel this campaign to the Democratic nomination and then the White House.”
Sanders has pulled in 6.5 million contributions from 2 million donors during his White House quest.
Clinton got called out by Politifact this month for claiming that her campaign, like Bernie’s, relies on small donors.
The fact-checkers found that small donors account for 19 percent of her funds raised through individual contributions.
By comparison, 70 percent of Sanders’ individual contribution total came from small donors.
Bernie drew 18,500 people to his Bronx rally on Thursday, his campaign said. Former N.Y. Sen. Clinton leads by 12 points in the latest Quinnipiac poll.
Actress Rosario Dawson and director Spike Lee showed up to speak for the Vermont senator.
Sanders’ camp pointed out that Clinton had about 500 people at her Thursday afternoon event at State University of New York at Purchase. She campaigns in Syracuse on Friday.
