If you haven’t read it already, take a look at the emAtlantic Weekly /emarticle a href=”http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23053553/” excerpted over at MSNBC.com entitled /aemWhy it’s OK to settle for Mr. Good Enough./em The article is about whether women should stop looking for “Mr. Right.” The most interesting part of the article a href=”http://boards.msn.com/MSNBCboards/thread.aspx?boardid=479ThreadID=556705BoardsParam=HIPDelay%3d1″are the comments /a but be careful, I just got sucked into reading them for over an hour. br /br /My thoughts? “Settling” for anyone, whether you are male or female seems sad and somehow wrong. I won’t say it’s emalways/em the wrong thing to do, but it seems to me that it would be much better to be alone than to be with somebody you didn’t really want. It’s unfair to them, and to you. On the other hand, perhaps some of the a href=”http://boards.msn.com/MSNBCboards/thread.aspx?boardid=479ThreadID=556705BoardsParam=HIPDelay%3d1″women commenting over /athere overlooked perfectly fine men because their standards were impossible to live up to. In that case, it makes more sense to learn to treat a man less as someone to “live up to your standards” and more like a human being who may have some great qualities that would be good in a partner.
